If you haven't read it, I will say this.I still haven't read a scary book.Book publishing can be a tricky-and fickle-thing. It's a whole bunch of amazing short stories that just come together to create this amazing story. This book has stayed with me through the years, mentally and physically, I'll often open it up and re-read a certain room because it is just that good. sometimes I'll remember a story and think where I had read it.then I'll remember that is was one of the rooms in that book. ![]() Each room was published one after another in a newspaper in the 1850s and brought together in book form.īecause it's by so many authors, if you don't like it, it will be completely different the next chapter! You can't lose here!Įvery room is a whole, unique, amazing story. I believe the last room and ending is written again by Dickens. Now, each room is written by a different author. Up until this point it is all written by Dickens. When the day came they all shared their experiences they had in the room they were staying in. ![]() It's hard for me to say what my favorite book is, but I am pretty sure this is it.īasically, a whole bunch of people stay in a "haunted" house and are to not talk about any paranormal experiences until a certain day, as to not influence each other. ![]() I was in a hurry so I quickly grabbed The Haunted House by Charles Dickens. So I popped in a book store and went about browsing and realized I had never read a "scary" book before. I was in the same station as Harry Potter for goodness sake, I had the need to read! I was about to board a train from London to Paris. ![]()
